PLAITED LOAF WITH SEEDS
- 400g strong bread flour
- 200ml milk
- 12g brewer’s yeast
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 5g salt
- 1 tsp honey
- 100g mixed seeds
Dissolve the yeast in a little milk and set aside.
Add the flour and a pinch of salt to the bowl of the stand mixer, and whilst it is working, start adding the rest of the room temperature milk, the oil, the honey and the yeast little by little. Knead well until dough is smooth.
A few minutes before the dough is ready, add the mixed seeds.
Cover with cling film and place to one side for 30 minutes.
After this time, take the dough and using your hands, form it into a braid, or whatever shape you want.
Place on the baking tray and leave to prove for at least 3 hours.
Once proved, bake at 200°C for 10 minutes and then at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
