Ooops... Smeg did it again!
Molson just couldn't resist this year either. After the fridge full of beer which could only be opened by scanning a Canadian passport during the Sochi Winter Olympics, and then the one which could be opened by singing the Canadian national anthem, summer 2015 sees an amazing new cooperation between the famous Canadian brewery and an iconic FAB28 fridge.
For this reason, Molson Canadian decided to stir the patriotic feelings of Canadian ex-pats on Canada Day itself, the 1st of July, well aware of their undying loyalty towards their country's traditions and most famous products. Obviously none of this would have been possible without the undisputed star of the show, a shiny red FAB fridge with a white maple leaf, in homage to the Canadian flag. It goes without saying that the fridge was full to the brim with precious beer.
You must be wondering what Molson came up with this year to allow access to the goodies. Well, this time the magic words to open this cool, refreshing treasure chest were “I am Canadian”, spoken in six languages by different people. Installation of the Google voice recognition device would allow the FAB to reveal its treasures to those present, who would then be able to celebrate by offering beer to whoever they wanted.
This year too, the FAB showed it is not simply a fridge for storing food and drinks, but above all a powerful tool to bring people together. Once again it proved itself to be a global fridge around which friends and strangers alike gathered to celebrate the anniversary of their country's founding, happy to have found someone with whom to share their origins.
