To celebrate the arrival of the new '50s style collection of small appliances, Smeg invited friends and special guests to attend an exclusive party at Dolce & Gabbana's Gold Restaurant in Milan on Monday evening. The great potential of the new Smeg 50’s Retro Style collection of small appliances is just this, details that add value to a whole. Together with Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti of deepdesign, Smeg has delved into the not too distant past - full of design myths, people and objects - and re-emerged with many extracts: sinuous lines and warm colour tones all of which have been put together with the latest technology. Smeg launches its new 50s Style site with

The new site goes live on the 7th of April, with completely updated graphics and overhauled content. The dynamic, informal aspects of the previous version will be maintained, however, to keep visitors constantly engaged. Just as the 1950s line evokes an atmosphere full of positivity and flashy colours, the new site also aims to reflect the philosophy of the time with its interpretation of technology and aesthetics, functionality and style. The site's graphic design is clean and minimalist, typical of Smeg's communications style, showing off products as mere objects in order to allow full appreciation of the brand's emotional dimension. The site therefore aims to become the entry point for an all-encompassing brand experience. Continue
