Around Europe in One Hundred and Eighty Days

If you happen to be driving around Europe in the second half of 2014, pay attention – you might run into Hometta (, the new motor home designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba and sponsored by ADI, which is currently preparing to embark on a European tour rich in Made in Italy design and art experiences.

Hometta was chosen by design on board+, which calls itself “the first nomadic editorial staff in the world”, as the starting point and base for a six-month nomadic adventure through Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, France, Portugal, Spain and the Balearics.

The trip will include numerous intermediate stops, during which the design on board+ team will share moments of life ‘on the road’ with international artists, designers, architects and photographers.

With this Hundred and Eighty Days around Europe inspired by nomadism, movement and memory, design on board+ aims to demonstrate that sharing experiences of life, art and design is one of the inalienable values of our time. They also want to show the world that it is possible to live in a reduced space such as a motor home without having to give anything up! Hometta, indeed, offers all the comfort of a small loft apartment, with nothing less than a brilliant white FAB10 in its living area, which will allow them to preserve the best Italian specialities perfectly and take them around Europe.

SMEGazine will follow Hometta's adventures up close in the coming months. In the meantime, Hometta can be seen on display at the Milan Design Week from the 7th to the 13th of April.
