A picnic with Smeg
It is often said that May is the month in which everything is reborn: flowers come out, nature wakes up and the days get longer. So what better month in which to organise a tasty country picnic out in the open air with friends, far away from the routine of the city?
Today's story takes us to Moscow, Russia, where over 15,000 people gathered on the 30th and 31st of May to participate in the first artistic-gastronomic festival in Krasnaya Presnya Park. A large public picnic was put on for the occasion, with the participation of fourteen award-winning chefs who delighted the diners with culinary performances and cooking shows.
The famous chefs were assisted by the timeless FAB28 and products from the Classic and Linea ranges in the Foodiez Lab by Smeg, where they exclusively presented their new specialities and current culinary trends. In order to make it a real show, renowned street artist Alex T was also present, showing off his talents to produce highly imaginative representations of the most famous Italian cities on the iconic Smeg FAB fridges. But it did not end there! Smeg also took care of the smallest attendees, dedicating the last evening of the Festival, the 1st of June, to them. Back in the Foodiez Lab, the youngsters were given the chance to let their creative flair shine through and paint the cult FAB50 fridges in washable paint. The creators of the best and most original designs were then awarded prizes from the iconic Smeg small appliances range.
And to those of you who didn't get the change to attend, we hope you will enjoy a picnic or two of your own over the summer!
