BELFAST 'TASTE + DINE' POP-UP EQUIP TEPEE KITCHEN WITH SMEG
Earlier this month, Belfast held a fantastic weekend of local food as part of the city’s annual Restaurant Week. ‘Taste + Dine’ was a two day event held over the weekend to celebrate all that is great about fresh, local food from Belfast. Located at the Belfast City Hall, event goers were treated to an array of different foods and drink from around the world, all cooked from scratch, right in front of their eyes.
Held in partnership with Visit Belfast, the mini ‘Food City’ held over a dozen pop-up restaurants and bars, set up in a row of tepee in the heart of the city. The ‘Taste + Dine’ tepee equipped its kitchen with a beautiful black Smeg FAB30 fridge freezer, and a Smeg DOSC36X stainless steel double oven. The appliances were used in demonstrations throughout the weekend, giving people the chance to sample all the different dishes on offer.
After hearing all of the great reviews of the weekend, it’s safe to say that the event was a big success, with a huge numbers of people visiting Belfast to taste what all the fuss was about. Smeg, and its Irish distributor Bodels, were thrilled to have been involved in the event, bringing together people, the local community and, most importantly, food!
